At the end of each K visit, students have time to select a book that they will borrow for the next week. The choice of level appropriate book is completely up to them. It can be fiction, non-fiction, a fairy tale, a science book, and anything and everything in between. This helps our youngest students develop a love of reading, and borrowing a book helps develop their responsibility skills. Being able to sit together and share helps students express ideas with their peers and being able to explore so many different kinds of books will help students develop their own individual interests. It’s always great to see these K students so enthusiastic about reading and sharing what they’ve learned and what they love about their books!
