K Book Borrowing

Processed with MOLDIV

At the end of each K visit, students have time to select a book that they will borrow for the next week. The choice of level appropriate book is completely up to them. It can be fiction, non-fiction, a fairy tale, a science book, and anything and everything in between. This helps our youngest students develop a love of reading, and borrowing a book helps develop their responsibility skills. Being able to sit together and share helps students express¬†ideas with their peers and being able to explore so many different kinds of books will help students develop their own individual interests. It’s always great to see these K students so enthusiastic about reading and sharing what they’ve learned and what they love about their books!
