Learning About Non-Fiction With Dewey!

This week in second grade we’re learning all about non-fiction with the help of the book Dewey – There’s a Cat in the Library! Sometimes, when we think of non-fiction we think of a dusty old textbook, but there are so many different ways that a non-fiction book can be written! This picture book tells the true story of a kitten dropped into a library’s book return slot one freezing cold night. He was found the next morning by the head librarian, and author of this book, Vicki Myron, who decided to keep him and give him a new life in the library. To find out more, you’ll have to read the book!
