Getting Started With Google!

Processed with Moldiv

Last week at Fox Hill our students set up their iPads for the year. I visited first and second grade classrooms to guide the students through the process of setting up their own iPad to use for the whole school year! We set out to accomplish three tasks:

1. Set a picture of yourself as the home and lock screen to identify who the iPad belongs to.

2. To log into Google Drive using our student email and password.

3. Open Google Docs and select our account to log in.

Second graders had done this once before and they carried their skills over from last year in terms of following step by step directions. First graders were patient, followed directions, and helped one another when their friends had questions. These basics are skills we’ll continue to build throughout the year. Now that we’re all logged in we can begin to add our work, drawings, photographs, and writing to our Google Drive to keep a record of all of our learning!
